Experience behind the Governance Engine.
Tomie Balogun is a private capital investor, entrepreneur, and Amazon bestselling author who has spent her career closing the gap between businesses and capital structures. She designs and deploys the structures, systems, and governance frameworks that turn financial ambition into real investment action, from first-time investors learning to syndicate to founders navigating private capital raises.
Her track record spans both sides of the table. She has structured and deployed over $30 million in private credit across fintech, agtech, logistics, and proptech; grown the Midlothian Angel Network from 12 to 52 portfolio companies; and serves as a Limited Partner and LPAC member on leading African venture capital funds alongside institutional investors including IFC, British International Investment, and the Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority.
As an entrepreneur, Tomie understands what founders need from capital and what investors need to deploy it with confidence. She speaks on private capital structuring, fund formation, syndication, investment governance, and building pathways from financial literacy to capital ownership.
